Our thesis
Most PE portfolio companies have the right strategy. The opportunity is in execution: taking the value creation plan from the boardroom and driving it through the organisation to measurable outcomes. That bridge, owned and operated well, is where value is created.
When it is not owned, the picture is familiar. The value creation plan stalls at the level of the management team that designed it. Initiatives lose momentum. Management bandwidth is consumed by the day job. The thesis remains intact on paper long after the window has closed in practice.
AlphaStarke exists to own that bridge. We have worked directly with CEOs on full business turnarounds, delivered post-acquisition integrations, led value creation programmes through to PE exit, and built the commercial and operating model foundations that make growth sustainable. Always operating from the inside, not advising from a distance.

What we do
Structured value creation programmes anchored in operational reality, not aspiration. We design the plan, pressure-test the assumptions, and build the governance architecture to track delivery against the investment thesis.
For portfolio companies approaching exit, typically 18 to 24 months pre-close, we work with management and fund teams to maximise the equity story, close the gap between current performance and full potential, and ensure the business presents at its strongest when it matters most.
Integration management for mid-market financial services deals, with particular focus on the operating model decisions that determine whether synergies are captured or lost. We run the integration as operators, not advisors.
Trusted senior counsel to CEOs and leadership teams navigating complex strategic, organisational, or investor-related decisions. Discreet, direct, and grounded in experience doing this at scale inside global institutions.
We work alongside deal advisor teams on buy-side and sell-side transactions, embedded in the diligence process to co-create the value creation plan from the ground up. Rather than inheriting a VCP at close, we ensure it is built as a strategic plan grounded in operational reality before the deal completes. Where a VCP already exists, we can assess and stress-test it against what is genuinely achievable.

AlphaStarke is a specialist independent consultancy, not a large firm. Engagements are led directly by the principal, a senior operator with a decade of experience inside financial markets infrastructure businesses.
